We are back.

I'm sorry that I've not had a chance to post lately but what a huge blessing it has been to not post.  If you take a look at our gallery page you'll see why.  We have had session after session in which we were able to capture some truly great pictures, but not had a chance to post.  I'm itching to get some up because I love sharing them.  So next week be on the look out; I've got half the week off from my financial aid super hero job and I'm hoping to get a lot posted.  I know Meag will be glad too, so that I can give her a little time.  I did have to take some time away last night so that we could celebrate a Wonderful, and Super Great 3rd year of being married.  Yep, that's right, 3 years ago yesterday; this handsome and great man was taken off the market.  Also noted on that day, weeping was heard all over Troy.  I'm sure it was not a coincidence.  I have to say that after 3 years, I'm still in love with her and I'm blessed beyond measure at what the Lord has done in us.  I hope that all the couples that I have shot and will shoot get to experience this bliss through out all their days.  Anyway, stay with me and next week I'll get some good stuff up again.

Opening Shop!!!

Get ready because I've got some very exciting things I'm about to post.  Are you ready?  Really ready? OK,

By the end of the year Wes Roberts Photography will have a new place of business based out of Troy.  I finally made the decision to open up shop and man has the Lord provided.  He has provided an amazing place (enough to meet my needs), has provided more than enough business to allow this and all I have to do is shoot pictures and honor Him.  Where will it be?  Just off the square, right next to the Little Framery and Landmark Reality.  So we are supper pumped!!!!

Food for the Poor

While I was on here I wanted to throw out this ministry that I heard about.  It's called Food for the Poor.  There who vision is to provide food, housing, health care, education, and alot more to the poorest of the poor in the countries along Latin America and the Carribean.  Their mission is based on Matthew 25:31-46.  So if you get time check it out and see where you can help.

 

Golfcarts, Fetch and Antiques,

The other week Meag and I took a trip to her relatives place in Smith Station.  I have to say I love this place.  The family, the land, you just can't beat it.  Everything is set back off towards the woods, but there is plenty of open land for the dogs and kids to run, scream and play.  What fun!  Anyway, while we were there I was able to get some pictures of some of the many kids that are part of the family, even dogs that we consider kids.  On the return trip home, we stopped at an antique shop in a tiny tiny place called Salem.  If your ever on 280 heading to Columbus stop and check it out.   They have an old caboose out front,  isn't that a fun word to say, caaa boooossse!!!

 

 

Here's a side note. please be praying for us as we start this month.  We've got three weddings ahead of us and we are pumped about it.  The first, Tara Parker who is a really good friend of mine.  The second is my step sister Kristy Mathis and the third is Susan and David.  When Susan and Dave's date comes up I'll have to tell you how they met.  It's pretty neat, in fact I'm shooting two weddings this year that the couples met same way.  Anyway,  keep up with the blog and spread the word about us.  Thanks to all our friends.

Mrs. Roberts Class, Zoo, enough said!

Last week I took off of work at the request of my lovely bride to accompany her and her class to the Montgomery Zoo.  For those of you who do not know, my wife teaches amazing children with special needs.  So with that said...hesitant at first, ummm.... maybe.  All the field trips with Mrs. Roberts class turns out to be some incredible stories.  This, well ... was no exception. I couldn't resist taking the camera along because I knew the kids were going to enjoy themselves.  Man I love these kids!

While You Were Out!

So, Meag had left for spring break to go home and see family and friends.  Amazingly while she was gone I survived.  I'm kinda like Bear Grills, I can survive in any situation!  Anyway while she was gone I decided to make a chalkboard that turned out pretty cool.  I still have to put the molding along the top, but you get the idea.  Also throwing a couple of the kids in.  Hope y'all have a good week,
